Vertical bone regeneration remains one of the most challenging procedures in clinical practice. Treatment success depends not only on the surgical technique, but also on the biological response to the biomaterials used and their interaction with the host tissues. Histological evidence provides valuable information on tissue maturation, graft integration and the regenerative process, supporting more informed clinical decision-making. During this workshop, Dr. Pablo Bustillo will present a clinical and scientific approach to vertical bone regeneration using immune-friendly, porcine-derived biomaterials. By correlating biological principles, histological findings and clinical outcomes, the session will explore how biomaterial selection and tissue response may influence the predictability of regenerative treatments. Available scientific evidence, practical protocols and clinical strategies will be discussed, providing participants with relevant insights for the management of complex bone defects in daily practice.
